2008 Kentucky Derby ‘Take 10’ Contest

Here’s your chance to take the inside path on the Triple Crown Trail. Play ST Publishing’s inaugural Kentucky Derby Take 10 fantasy contest. Win PRIZES, watch your stable succeed and be the envy of your friends. It’s easy . . .

HOW TO PLAY

Step 1: Pick a stable name. Be creative, but please keep within the boundaries of moderately good taste.

Step 2: Pick 10 3-year-olds, two trainers and two jockeys for your stable. Any 3-year-old is eligible. We’ll list the Triple Crown nominations when they are made available as well as list a few of our early favorties.

Step 3: Submit your stable information (and your name, address, and telephone number) to us. All entries must be received by 11:59pm on January 31, 2008.

Step 4: Sit back and watch. We’ll keep score and update the standings on our web site. Also, we’ll provide some detailed analysis of the upcoming races each week, as well as recap the past weekends results. One entry per person, but please feel free to sign up friends, family, and co-workers.

HOW TO SCORE

Standings will be determined by the stable that accrues the most prize money during the Triple Crown prep season. Any money earned by your stable in the races listed below will count towards your stable. Earnings will be determined through charts of the races. Please note: Horses, trainers, and jockeys can each earn prize money. Example- A $100,000 win for War Pass, Nick Zito, and Cornelio Velasquez would earn a stable $300,000 if you have all three. Money earned by a horse, trainer or jockey in a race not on the designated list will not count towards your standings. The contest concludes April 19 with the stable who has amassed the most earnings as the winner.
